In February, we were very lucky to have a visit from Martyn at Charles Trent Ltd.

Martyn came in to visit the children in our Hornets room and to speak about the recycling that they do at Trents – as well as bringing along some steering wheel and car badges for the children to take home. Martyn explained how recycling car parts at Charles Trent helps to protect the environment for the future.

During his visit, Martyn explained how Trents collected over 50,000 vehicles last year (which includes vehicles that we collect on behalf of insurance contracts) and that they recycle over 95% of every vehicle that enters their state-of-the-art recycling process. This promotes sustainability and reduces waste going to landfill, and parts removed in the process help prolong the lives of other vehicles which require these parts to stay running on the road.

The Charles Trent parts business has grown substantially and they currently send out over 5000 part orders a month to customers in the UK and all throughout the world.

Charles Trent has kindly offered to make a car banner for our car area at Cuddles Canford Heath and we hope this will be the first of many visits.
