Cuddles Celebrates 20 Years …
In 1999, Linda Duly had a vision. Her vision was to provide affordable, high-quality childcare for working parents in a setting that has the child at its heart. Linda in her own words says “As a mother, I started Cuddles to provide the sort of care I wanted for my own children”
Cuddles Day Nursery first started in Canford Heath in a small building called The Pavilion. Based across the road from the current Canford Heath nursery in Leyrod Road, Cuddles was situated there for two years until the current site became available. In 2003, Linda was awarded the tender for Rossmore so Cuddles Parkstone was bourne. In 2014 Linda and her team opened Cuddles at Poole Stadium.
Today, Cuddles is one of the leading childcare providers in Poole with an outstanding Ofsted for all three sites. We have hundreds of happy and content children, aged from birth through to pre-school currently attending, part-time and full-time hours and over 110 members of staff – many of whom have been with the nursery group for many years.
In 2019, Cuddles will celebrate its 20th birthday and having cared for so many children and supported so many families over the years, we would love to hear from ex-employees and anyone who started their younger years with the nursery.
Did you attend Cuddles Nursery? Do you remember a particular time at the nursery that brings back happy memories or do you have a favourite member of staff? Maybe you started your career at Cuddles and have a memorable story to tell? Whether you attended Cuddles as a child or have worked for Cuddles, we’d like to hear your story. Please get in touch at cuddles20th@gmail.com and let us hear your story.
Due to continued growth, we are very excited to be expanding our team and are looking to recruit for a variety of different vacancies in our Canford Heath and Parkstone locations.
