We love Autumn .. when the mornings start to be a bit fresher and the evenings begin to draw in yet, if we are lucky, the days are still warm and sunny. It’s the time of year when we may need a variety of clothing sent in for your child – coats and hats for the early mornings and late afternoons, t-shirts and sun hats for during the day! 

Autumn Activities

This is the time of year when we get really creative with arts and crafts, including collages made out of Autumn leaves, spooky pictures for Halloween and sparkly crafts for Guy Fawkes. It’s also Harvest Festival time and this year, we are very proud to be supporting the FaithWorks Wessex Foodbank.  We will be collecting donations at each of our three nurseries until 5th October. School Applications

October is a busy time in the educational calendar. For those of you with older children moving up to secondary school, all applications need to be submitted to the local authorities by 31st October.

For all of our children who will be starting at Infants and First School in September 2019, whilst the deadline for applications to be submitted isn’t until 15th January 2019, this is the time when many schools will be holding open sessions for parents to look round. Please remember that it is also advisable to ensure that you complete all of your top three preferences on the application form.  

Half Term Fun!

Our October half-term holiday club runs from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th October. This year the theme is rocks! We’ve lots of rocky crafts, cookery and activities to be enjoyed including days out to Rock Reef and our very own ‘School Of Rock’ musical adventures.
